Bringing Butterflies to Life in Kindergarten

Students gained an appreciation for God's creation at work.

Callie Van Horn by Callie Van Horn in Academics
Banner Christian kindergarteners released painted lady butterflies that were raised from small caterpillars.

About a week before the end of the school year, our sweet Bearkittens released the painted lady butterflies that we raised from teeny-tiny caterpillars right after spring break.

All told, It was such a joyful reminder of God’s amazing grace—just as he fully transformed those little caterpillars—not just into caterpillars with wings, but whole new creations.

it is a wonderful reminder of how God is constantly at work in all of us, growing us into who he created us to be as revealed to us in 2 Corinthians 5:17.
