Banner Christian Honors Leaders and an Athlete of the Month for the month of December.

Below, please take a look at Banner students who excelled in the classroom and beyond in December.

Leaders of the Month Awards
These honors recognize students who have shown outstanding leadership by setting a positive example, serving others and demonstrating responsibility. The Leaders of the Month inspire their classmates through their actions, encourage teamwork and consistently demonstrate integrity in both their work and character.

Freshman Schmy Phileaus is being recognized for his leadership in creatively developing new games for Spirit Week and working closely with his peers and the administration to introduce a fresh activity to our Spirit Week traditions. Through his initiative and collaborative spirit, Schmy helped bring new energy and excitement to the week while ensuring that the activities aligned well with the school’s vision and schedule.

His willingness to take ideas from concept to completion, communicate effectively and serve the school community exemplifies positive, servant-hearted leadership.

Senior Noelle Cornett is being honored for her leadership in taking initiative to plan for and faithfully execute the Bible Buddies program with our Lower School students. She thoughtfully prepares lessons and activities, ensuring they are engaging, age-appropriate and spiritually meaningful, and is proactive in working with administration to communicate plans, seek guidance and ensure the program runs smoothly.

In addition, Noelle actively encourages and organizes her Upper School classmates to participate, modeling servant leadership and teamwork. Her dedication, preparation and heart for mentoring younger students have made a positive and lasting impact on both the Bible Buddies program and our school community.

Athlete of the Month Award
Below, please find a look at a Banner student-athlete who is shining academically and on the hardwood.

Freshman Locke Bailey is garnering accolades because of his consistent effort, positive attitude and commitment to the team.

He demonstrates strong sportsmanship, leadership and a willingness to improve each day, making him a great example both on and off the basketball court.

Please join us in congratulating Schmy, Noelle and Locke for their individual achievements as well as inspiring other Bearcats to reach new heights.
