Now is the time to get your team together for fun, fellowship, and a good cause for the annual Banner Christian School golf tournament, set for Monday, April 27 at Providence Golf Club in Richmond. The event begins with a 1 p.m. shotgun start (check-in and the practice area opens at 12 p.m.).
All proceeds from the event will benefit Banner Christian’s athletics’ department in providing resources so that our students, teams and coaches can enjoy a better today and tomorrow in helping them flourish on the athletic fields and beyond.
This charity event also comes at a time to throw away shots you’d like to forget and cherish the good ones. It’s a four-person captain’s choice format, so groups only use the players’ best shots for scoring purposes/no pressure to play your own ball the entire way. And the tournament’s date allows players to indulge their golf itch as it comes right on the heels of the Masters Tournament—well-known to golfers in the region as the ‘unofficial’ start to the golf season.
Registration is $125 per person, but we encourage you to bring your buddies along and divvy up the costs as it's $500 per team, which includes a golf cart, dinner and practice balls—all you’d want on the golf front and an occasion to share in conversation and catch up. Participants may also take in the enjoyment of closest-to-the-hole as well as long drive contests and golfers will take home door prizes sure to catch their attention.
