Banner Christian Spirit Week and Homecoming Are Coming

Banner traditions are set for Jan. 21-25.

Banner Christian Spirit Week and Homecoming are Jan. 21-25

Banner Christian school pride is primed to shine during Spirit Week (Jan. 21-24) and Homecoming at Liberation Church on Jan. 25. Please see the schedule here for Spirit Week themes that will bring us together in a fun competition.

Additionally, canned food drive donations are being accepted through Friday, Jan. 24. Banner Christian is undertaking this initiative to serve the needs of our community by striving to end hunger in central Virginia.

This activity complements the theme for January, which is "Let Your Spirit Shine." It is centered on 1 Corinthians 1:10 "I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought."

Banner Christian School admits students of any race, color, gender and national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, birth gender or national or ethnic origin in administering its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered policies. The Nondiscriminatory Policy of Banner Christian School also includes the hiring of faculty or administrative staff. Banner makes no distinction concerning an individual’s race or ethnic background because we acknowledge that there can be no preferential treatment with God (Romans 2:11). We are bound to extend our ministry to all we can reach if we carry out our Lord’s Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Being distinctly Christian, Banner Christian School emphasizes the need for a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.  Accordingly, students and their families are encouraged to be faithful attendees of a local Christian church.
