Banner Christian's Middle School Computer class students have been exploring all the different ways they can use technology to create, communicate and solve problems.
Class members have worked with Google Workspace, explored a short overview of computer science through Code.org and recently started learning how to use Canva to create digital designs, posters and GIFs.
Along the way, students are building practical skills, discovering new ways to express their creativity and learning how they can use the gifts and abilities God has given them in new and exciting ways. We're looking forward to the rest of this semester to see what new things the group can discover together.
"One of the best parts of this class has been seeing students get excited about trying something new and creating something of their own," says Mrs. Callie Van Horn, Banner Christian's Resource teacher and Bible instructor. "I have appreciated learning alongside our class members.
"I have especially enjoyed watching them experiment with different tools— bringing their ideas to life, and discovering just how much they can do with technology. It's been a great reminder that learning isn't just about gaining new skills. It's also about discovering our God-given abilities and finding ways to use them creatively and purposefully."
