Michael Burkett

Michael Burkett serves Banner Christian School as the Director of Finance and an Upper School Government Teacher. In his dual role, he combines a love for practical stewardship with a passion for helping students understand the foundations of leadership and civic responsibility.

A lifelong Virginian, Michael grew up in Moseley and attended Banner Christian School from K4 through 12th grade. He later earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Regent University, where he developed a strong foundation in finance and management. After graduation, he spent time working in the golf industry but soon realized that his calling was to make a greater eternal impact by serving in Christian education.

Michael is passionate about being a good steward of the resources God has provided and ensuring that the next generation is equipped with both the knowledge to succeed in the world and the wisdom to walk faithfully with Christ. He sees his work at Banner Christian as an opportunity to pour into students in a way that will serve them well for life beyond the classroom.

Outside of school, Michael enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active. He can often be found on the golf course, heading out on a hunting trip, or watching football with family and friends.
